In May 2010 The Old Rectory, Waterden, was awarded a FOUR STAR rating in Quality in Tourism by VisitBritain.
An elegant, centrally heated, early Victorian rectory set in the tranquil and beautiful North Norfolk countryside on the Holkham Estate and only a handful of miles from the world famous Holkham Beach, RSPB Titchwell and Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Cley Nature Reserve. Wonderfully peaceful walks are on the doorstep, and the Shrine of Walsingham is but 3 miles away.
The Old Rectory offers two tastefully appointed,en suite bedrooms.
The Garden Room has twin beds and lets out onto the mature garden and is particularly suitable for the elderly or disabled.
The charming drawing room, available for guest use has a flat screen, colour TV and an open log fire in the Winter. Pets are permitted by prior arrangement (Garden Room only).
We offer a full English breakfast made from locally bought produce. There are many local pubs and restaurants in easy reach.
In Autumn and Winter the fields and marshes close by are the feeding grounds and home to the majority of the world’s Pink Foot geese, with the additional attraction of Brent, Canada and Barnacle geese which draw many hundreds of visitors each year. |
